Based in Shropshire, this business is currently interviewing for a new Finance Assistant – a crucial role in helping the business operate efficiently. Could it be you?
The role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role requires the successful candidate to work closely with other functions within the business including technology, marketing and operations to ensure efficiency and alignment in everything the business does.
If you are successful, you will be responsible for:
- Full ownership of the sales ledger
- Full ownership of the purchase ledger
- Bank and payment gateway reconciliations
- Dealing with supplier invoice and payment queries
- Processing employee expense claims
- Supporting with the purchase order process
- Supporting with the month end close
- Ad hoc financial analysis tasks
About you

- Have previous experience working in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Inquisitive and like to understand “why”
- Pride yourself on the quality of your work and have a tidy approach to tasks
- Able to communicate clearly with more senior members of the team
- Are ambitious and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Strive for improvement
